Congratulations to FC Inter B7 Team - Finalists in the 2009 Independence Cup

Exactly one week after Lucas Glover held off Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, & Co. at the US Open in Bethpage, FC Inter's B7 team were finalists on the same field at the RoughRiders Independence Cup.  They won their division & the semi-finals, beating teams from Albertson, Merrick, & Oceanside.  In the finals, they lost 8-4 to Syosset, but played extremely well, at one point only down 4-3 to a team that hadn't given up a goal all day.

FC Inter Soccer Prepares to be Freezin' for a Reason Again

FC Inter Soccer President, Jason Miradoli, and 2 of his children/academy members, represented us last winter at the Special Olympics of New York Polar Plunge at Hempstead Harbor.  The  weather was a warm 30 degrees Fahrenheit, the 3 of them held hands and plunged into the freezing waters to help raise both money and awareness for the Special Olympics of NY.  They had so much fun and got so much out of it that they're returning this upcoming March, 2010, and will be inviting all bold soccer players to join us.

FC Inter Soccer Greets F.C. Internazionale Milano in Queens

On  Aug 23 & 24, FC Internazionale Milano held their first ever Intervillage soccer clinic in NY. "It is only fitting that FC Internazionale Milano, one of the world's most legendary soccer franchises, host their Intervillage clinic in New York City's mecca of soccer-Queens," said New York City Sports Commissioner Kenneth J. Podziba. The free clinic tested and trained young players with its emphasis on fun, and was conducted by Inter Milan's top youth coaches.  There were first touch stations with balls suspended in the air hanging from above, a camera that recorded and printed an image of your shot hitting the net, and  plenty of inflatable pitches for friendlies.  Above, Alex tests himself in the goalkeeper station, in which Inter Milan coach took numerous shots in all corners, and the keeper could dive, knowing his/her landing was a giant inflatable.

Over 1000 players visited the clinic throughout the weekend, and were entertained by thrilling performances by Billy Wingrove - the world's top football freestyler who has amazed soccer fans around the world, as well as Ronaldinho, Ibrahimovic, & Cristiano Ronaldo.  "We are honored to take part in the 100th Anniversary of FC Internazionale Milano.  We thoroughly enjoyed seeing what mixture of skill, entertainment, and passion for the game this prestigious club has to offer, and look forward to bringing them back to Long Island in the upcoming year," said FC Inter Soccer President Jason Miradoli

FC Inter Soccer Plays Brentwood BU13 at Giants Stadium!

FC Inter Soccer BU13 took the field at Giants Stadium, both before the game and at halftime, as Red Bulls faced 2-time champion Houston Dynamo.  To start the game, the team joined other youth clubs in taking the field,  forming the Tunnel, and welcoming members of both teams.  The kids exchanged hi-fives with the Dynamo, most notably MLS All-Star, the only 2-time MLS Cup MVP, & Canadian National team player, Swayne De Rosario.  At the half, FC Inter players, boys & girls ages 6 to13, battled BU13 Brentwood to a 1-0 loss, but walked off winners, having played on the same pitch as Pele, Baggio, Ronaldo, & Mia Hamm.

FC Inter Soccer Thanks SS Lazio Youth Academy Trainer & Scout for Free Clinic & Invite to Host Players at Fernando Nesta's Soccer School in Sabina, Italia!

World-renowned FIGC (Italian Soccer Federation) trainer Volfango Patarca, (SS Lazio Youth Academy Director for 24 years), met with a group of FC Inter Soccer players for a quick "Ciao", and invited them to his selection to win a free trip to his soccer school in Italy this summer.  But after watching the kids playing on the field, Signore Patarca excused himself, changed from his suit into his soccer gear, and gave them a "dieci minuti" training session that he would give to his Lazio Academy.

Patarca's "ten minute" session ended with him leading a cool-down period of strecthing - 45 minutes after his session began.  The kids did everything that was asked of them, and the instructors got as much out of it as they did, if not more, by watching a true master at work.  Here Signore Patarca works with a Juventus fan while Coach Miradoli passes with an AC Milan fan and a young Lazio supporter from Manhasset passes in the jersey of Patarca's most famous student - Alessandro Nesta.

FC Inter Soccer 1995 Boys Team Advances to Regionals in Kick-It 3-v-3

Congratulations to the Boys 1995 FC Inter team in advancing to the Regionals of the National Kick-It 3-v-3 tournament.  The boys won their pool of  Division 1 opponents by beating Jericho Sharpshooters and tying Brentwood, whom they would later fall to in the Championship game.  Still, they punched their ticket for East Brunswick, New Jersey for the North-East Atlantic Regionals on August 18, 19.  Unfortunately, an injury and conflicting schedule prevented two of the five players from making it, so the team declined.

Productive Winter for Manhasset AC Milan

Congrats to Manhasset AC Milan, coached by FC Inter Soccer's Jason Miradoli, as they went undefeated at this year's East Meadow World Cup Tournament, finishing 2nd.  The team is made up of 1st graders, some U6, some U7, but played well in U7 tournaments all winter.  They also placed 3rd in Oceanside's Rudy Lamonica Tournament as well as in the RoughRiders Winter League.  In addition to the team's development, FC Inter Soccer is also proud to have seen three individual players get some hardware - 2 for Best Goalkeepers and one for Best Offense, to Nico, pictured here with his trophies.

About FC Inter Soccer - Home of "SoccAerobics"

FC Inter Soccer was created in 2005 to search out the best of the clinics, programs, and passions of the world's finest Football Clubs, and deliver them to our local youth soccer players.  We are a proud academy member of US Club Soccer, a National Affiliate Member of the United States Soccer Federation.  In agreement with the philosophy of US Club Soccer, FC Inter Soccer fosters the growth and development of youth soccer players.  We look forward to giving your player the opportunity to train and develop with a core of like-minded players of similar ability.  In doing so, children can simply enjoy the game without so many of the rules and restrictions imposed on today's youth player.  For more information on programs of US Club Soccer, feel free to log onto www.usclubsoccer.org

At our Academy, your player will learn the four cornerstones of soccer: techniques, tactics, fitness, and psychology.  But we also preach its values: teamwork, respect, dedication, and sportsmanship. Our desire to improve our skills within the guidelines of Friendly Competition allows us not only teach the game, but also to enjoy it. And while we take pride in our knowledge and passion for the sport, evident in our staff of national educators, international players, and motivational role models, we realize that the best teacher is the game itself.

SoccAerobics

FC Inter Soccer has created "SoccAerobics" with the combination of our Nationally Licensed soccer trainers and Early Elementary teachers to help fight the alarming epidemic of childhood obesity, adult onset diabetes now seen in children, and youth hypertension.  We put this program in place based on 2007 studies proving soccer burns more fat than jogging.  For more information, please visit our ABC Programs page.

In the meantime you can reach us at FC Inter Soccer Inc, PO Box 199, Manhasset, NY 11030. We are looking forward to hearing from you with any quesions or concerns. You can also contact us by telephone at 516-603-0671, or via e-mail at info@fcintersoccer.com.
