Soccer is more than just a "game" in the rest of the world. At FC Inter Soccer, we try to give back to the community & ensure that players of all races, sexes, living conditions, & abilities can enjoy the game. We also want our youth players to not be focused on winning the next game, the next tournament, and focus on getting to the next level. If like is indeed a journey, and to much of the world, soccer is life, then we should stop and enjoy the game, its culture, its history, and all it means to play futbol.
Tuesday's Children Spring Clinic
We will be sponsoring a free clinic for Tuesday's Children, the organization that helps the thousands of children coping with the loss of a parent on one of the worst tragedies in the history of our nation, 9/11. If you are interested in being a volunteer, please contact Jason Miradoli at j.miradoli@fcintersoccer.com. Jason feels closely tied to this group, having left behind a decade on Wall Street in 2003, in order to work with children & found FC Inter Soccer.
FC Inter Soccer's Technical Director, Clive Williams's Nephew, & Materazzi
Clive Williams grew up in England, where he played "footy", and as an adult, spent time training his nephews & nieces. One such nephew, Vil Powell, is shown here being marked by Italian World Cup Champion & Inter Milan Serie A Champion, Marco Materazzi.
After the game, always a respect for the opponent.
Vil celebrates winning the Conference South with Grays Athletic, where he scored 14 goals. Prior to his stint with Grays, he led Central Midlands Supreme's Retford United to a league & cup treble, scoring a record 72 goals, with 6 hat-tricks.
Vil Powell having just shaken hands with Futbol's Legend, the great Pele.
Jason Miradoli's family in Milan is very involved in SOS Children's Villages International, the non-governmental social developmental organization that has been active in children's rights and needs since 1949. FIFA is a great supporter, and SOS counts among its celebrity supporters, Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie, Madonna, Julia Roberts, and soccer great Gianluigi Buffon, here seen at a summer sand soccer fundraiser.
Buffon makes a save and raises money and awareness for SOS Children's Villages.
FC Inter Soccer is pleased to announce that we will be holding tryouts for Premier Tournament teams, ages U7 and above, in conjunction with our US Club Soccer academy membership. The primary focus of these teams will be on the training and development of the players, but at times, we will field teams and enter off-season tournaments, local and abroad. These teams supplement your current club team without conflict, will train weekly, and the player's primary affiliation will always be with their club. We also train JSS & LIJSL teams also looking for a few players before the upcoming Fall 2009 season. Contact us if you have interest in trying out for the following.
